Mike Edmondson is U.S. Vice President, Performance Optimization for Amgen.

In this role, Mike leads Amgen’s U.S. Business Organization’s strategy development for Continuous Improvement, Talent Development and Culture. He has also been instrumental in establishing and steering the company’s global commercial Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging (DI&B) teams.

As a 25-year veteran in the pharmaceutical industry, Mike brings a wealth of experience in successfully leading sales teams at increasing levels of responsibility.

Mike’s depth of experience across the industry and track record of driving commercial growth has allowed him to help shape Amgen’s Global Commercial Organization’s approaches to Field Excellence and transform the Learning and Performance model from a centralized approach to a decentralized one.

Mike’s leadership extends to serving as Amgen’s Black Employee Network global leader for two years, including partnering with C-suite leadership to drive the development of the employee resource group’s business impact strategy, which led to the adoption of increasing diversity in clinical studies.

Mike is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy and served six years in the United States Marine Corp.
